GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Plano convex flake scraper with one flaked edge opposite one with use scarage.

SIZE:  Longest Length - 7.0 cm.
            Greatest Width of Scraper - 3.2 cm.
            Width of Base - 2.0 cm.

LITHIC MATERIAL:  Onondaga Chert.

PROVENIENCE:  36SO45, Recorded site north of Rockwood, Pennsylvania, recovered 20 meters south of this site at a depth of 18 inches.

COLLECTOR:  June Hay, Rockwood, Pa.

REMARKS:  John Witthoft identified this piece as Paleo-Indian in 1972. Associated artifacts and information from the location of the find of this scraper are as follows: Hearth at 24"/30.2 cm. Scraper found as a result of erosion. Also found immediately above the scraper were 3 pebble tools.
