GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Dark grayish-brown flint. Basal grinding, and grinding on each edge from the base for 2.5 cm. on each side.

PROVENIENCE: Found on the east side of Laurel Mountain near Bakersville. Located on U.S.G.S. 7.5' map, Bakersville quadrant. Altitude, 2100 feet.
COLLECTOR: Walt Heist, Somerset, Pa.
REMARKS: This point was recovered after it had fallen from the soil of a steep bank behind the collector's summer home. No other artifacts were found in conjunction with the find, but further investigations of a rock shelter several hundred feet to the immediate north will be made in 1978.
