SPECIMEN NO.:  36SOPA-11

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  This nearly snow-white small Paleo type point was recovered in Mann's Choice, Pennsylvania, Bedford County, immediately within borough limits.

SIZE:  Length - 5.3 cm.
            Basal Width - 2.3 cm.
            Vertical Grinding - 2.2 cm.
            Length of Flute - 1.7 cm.
            Width of Flute - 1.5 cm.

LITHIC MATERIAL:  Apparently fine-grained white quartz, or an off-white waxy material. Origin unknown.

PROVENIENCE:  Not found near any currently recorded sites, borough of Mann's Choice, Pennsylvania.

COLLECTOR:  Leonard Kaiser. (It is currently in his collection in northern Somerset County near Central City, Pennsylvania.)

REMARKS:  This point was delivered in person to Walter Bowen's photographic studio in Somerset, Pennsylvania by Mr. Fred Doyle of Hooversville, Pennsylvania. It was photographed and returned to the owner. The Author has never seen this artifact.
